🏠 General

What is Alert91?

Alert91 is a real-time website monitoring and SEO intelligence platform built specifically for Indian web agencies. It lets you monitor all your client websites from one dashboard — uptime, SSL expiry, Core Web Vitals, Google Search Console data, security, broken links, task management and more.

Unlike international tools, Alert91 is built for Indian agencies with INR billing via Razorpay, Razorpay/PayU payment gateway monitoring, and features tailored to how Indian web agencies work.

Who is Alert91 built for?

Alert91 is built for Indian web agencies and freelancers who manage multiple client websites. If you build or maintain websites for clients — whether you are a one-person freelancer or a 20-person agency — Alert91 gives you the tools to monitor, report and prove your value.

It is particularly useful for agencies offering ongoing maintenance retainers, SEO services, or performance optimization.

How is Alert91 different from UptimeRobot or Pingdom?

UptimeRobot and Pingdom are basic uptime checkers. Alert91 is a full agency platform. Key differences:

  • INR billing via Razorpay — no USD conversion
  • GSC + GA4 integration with SEO intelligence (striking distance, content decay, cannibalization)
  • Client portal — your clients get their own secure login
  • Task Manager — manage bugs and website work inside the platform
  • PulseScore — 7-pillar website health score
  • AI SEO audit with E-E-A-T and AEO analysis
  • Razorpay and PayU payment gateway monitoring

Start your free trial at portal.alert91.com.

Do I need to install anything?

For uptime monitoring, SSL and domain checks — no installation needed. Alert91 pings your client's website from our server automatically.

For advanced features like Core Web Vitals, JS error tracking and heatmaps, you add a small 2-line JavaScript snippet to the client's website. It takes under a minute.

🔴 Monitoring

How often does Alert91 check if a website is up?

Alert91 checks your client websites every 3 minutes. If a site goes down, you receive an email alert. When it recovers, you get a notification. The dashboard shows full incident history with start time, end time and duration.

How does SSL monitoring work?

Alert91 checks your client's SSL certificate expiry daily. You receive email alerts 30 days before expiry and again 7 days before expiry, giving you plenty of time to renew before the site shows security warnings to visitors.

Does Alert91 monitor domain expiry?

Yes. Alert91 monitors domain expiry using WHOIS and RDAP data. You get advance warnings before a client's domain expires so you can avoid the situation of a domain getting dropped because renewal was missed.

What are Core Web Vitals and does Alert91 monitor them?

Core Web Vitals are Google's performance metrics — LCP, FCP, CLS, INP and TTFB — that directly affect search rankings. Alert91 monitors them in two ways: real user monitoring (RUM) from actual visitors, and Google's CrUX data. The Web Vitals tab shows trends, device breakdowns and performance over time.

What is the Apdex Score?

Apdex (Application Performance Index) is a score from 0 to 1 measuring how satisfied real users are with load time. A score of 0.94+ is Excellent. Below 0.50 is Unacceptable. Alert91 calculates it from real visitor data: under 2 seconds = Satisfied, 2-8 seconds = Tolerating, over 8 seconds = Frustrated.

Does Alert91 detect JavaScript errors?

Yes. The monitoring script automatically captures JavaScript errors and promise rejections from real browsers. The Events tab shows each error with the message, stack trace, browser, device and page — so you can debug issues before clients notice them.

What is PulseScore?

PulseScore is Alert91's 7-pillar website health score from 0 to 100. It combines Web Vitals, Reliability, Experience, Security, API & Payments, SEO Health and Infrastructure into one number. A score above 90 is A — Excellent. It gives clients a simple number to understand their website's overall health.

Does Alert91 monitor Razorpay and PayU payment gateways?

Yes. Alert91 monitors Razorpay and PayU API endpoints so you know immediately if an Indian payment gateway is down. This is critical for e-commerce clients where payment failures mean lost revenue. No other monitoring tool offers this for Indian payment gateways.

What is cron job monitoring?

Cron job monitoring lets you verify that scheduled tasks — like backups, email campaigns, daily reports — are running on time. Alert91 gives you a unique ping URL. Your cron job calls this URL after completing. If the ping doesn't arrive within the expected window, Alert91 sends you an alert.

🔍 SEO & Google Integration

What Google integrations does Alert91 support?

Alert91 integrates with three Google services:

  • Google Search Console — keyword rankings, impressions, clicks, CTR, index coverage
  • Google Analytics 4 — traffic sources, session data, AI traffic segmentation
  • Chrome UX Report (CrUX) — real-world Core Web Vitals from Chrome users

Connect once via OAuth and Alert91 fetches data automatically every day.

What is the Striking Distance Keywords report?

Striking Distance Keywords are keywords where your client's website ranks in positions 4 to 20 with at least 5 impressions. These are the easiest ranking wins — a small content improvement can push them to page one. Alert91 automatically pulls these from GSC and shows potential clicks you could gain. Available on Growth plan and above.

What is Content Decay Detection?

Content Decay Detection automatically compares your client's GSC performance for the current 28-day period against the previous 28 days. Pages that have lost 20% or more impressions are flagged as decaying. This tells you which pages are quietly losing Google traffic so you can fix them before the client notices. Available on Growth plan and above.

What is Keyword Cannibalization?

Keyword cannibalization happens when two or more pages on the same website rank for the same keyword, causing them to compete against each other and dilute rankings. Alert91 automatically detects these conflicts by analysing GSC query and page data and flags keywords where multiple pages are competing.

What does the AI SEO Audit check?

The AI SEO Audit (Agency plan and above) uses Claude AI to analyse your client's website and provide recommendations across E-E-A-T, AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation for ChatGPT and Perplexity), GEO (Google AI Overviews), schema markup, content quality and technical SEO issues.

What is the CTR Optimizer?

The CTR Optimizer finds keywords where your client is ranking in the top 10 but getting a click-through rate below 3%. These are keywords where a better title tag or meta description could significantly increase traffic without improving the ranking. Alert91 shows the potential clicks you are leaving on the table.

What is the Schema Markup Validator?

Alert91's Schema Validator checks your client's website for 8 types of JSON-LD structured data: Organization, WebSite, BreadcrumbList, Article, FAQPage, Product, LocalBusiness and Review. It shows which schemas are present and which are missing, helping you implement rich results that improve Google visibility.

🏢 Agency Features

What is the client portal?

The client portal at portal.alert91.com is a separate login where your clients can view their own website's health — uptime, SSL, performance, tasks and support tickets — without accessing your full agency dashboard. Each client only sees their own data. Available on all paid plans.

How does the Task Manager work?

The Task Manager lets you manage website bugs, changes and work requests inside Alert91. Tasks follow a 5-step workflow: Todo → In Progress → Review → In Review → Done. Clients can create tasks via the portal and track progress. No more WhatsApp messages for website change requests.

Can multiple team members access Alert91?

Yes. Alert91 supports team access with role-based permissions. You can add team members as Owner, Engineer or other roles. Each role has different access levels — owners can manage billing and settings, engineers can manage clients and tasks.

What is the Bug Report Widget?

The Bug Report Widget is a floating button on your client's website (visible only to logged-in portal users). Clients can click it to report bugs with annotated screenshots — drawing on the screenshot to highlight the issue. The report goes directly into Alert91 as a task. No back-and-forth emails needed.

Does Alert91 send automated reports to clients?

Yes. Alert91 sends automated weekly email reports every Monday morning to your clients covering uptime, incidents, SSL status and performance highlights. Clients stay informed without you manually preparing reports.

What is the CSAT widget?

The CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) widget appears on your client's website and asks visitors to rate their experience. Ratings are collected in Alert91 and shown in the client's dashboard, giving visibility into how users feel about the website.

⚙️ Technical

How do I add the monitoring script to a client's website?

In Alert91 dashboard, go to your client → Setup Guide tab. Copy the 2-line script snippet and paste it before the closing </body> tag on the client's website. For WordPress, use a plugin like Insert Headers and Footers or add it to the theme's footer.php.

Does the monitoring script affect website performance?

No. The Alert91 monitoring script loads with the async attribute, meaning it loads in the background without blocking page render. It has no measurable impact on Core Web Vitals or page load time.

Where is Alert91's data stored?

Alert91's servers and database are hosted in India. Your client data is stored on Indian infrastructure. Alert91 complies with India's IT Act 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) 2023.

Does Alert91 work with WordPress websites?

Yes. Alert91 works with any website — WordPress, Joomla, custom PHP, React, Next.js, Webflow or any CMS. For uptime monitoring, no installation needed. For real user monitoring, add the 2-line JS snippet via a header/footer plugin.

How do I connect Google Search Console?

In the client detail page, go to the Google tab and click Connect Google. You will go through a Google OAuth flow. Once connected, Alert91 automatically fetches GSC data daily. Make sure the Google account you connect has access to the client's GSC property. Alert91 supports both URL-prefix and domain properties.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

If you cancel, your account and data are retained for 30 days. You can reactivate during this period and resume where you left off. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted as per our Privacy Policy.
